The Livingston County Jail expansion project involved a 57,000-square-foot addition, increasing the facility’s capacity to 240 inmates. The project included the installation of 71 modular steel detention cells by SteelCell, security mesh and detention screens from Kane Innovations, and high-performance detention furniture from Norix to enhance durability and functionality. Additionally, the facility incorporated tamper-resistant plumbing fixtures from Willoughby Industries and high-security detention glass from Global Security Glazing to improve both safety and long-term operational efficiency. A state-of-the-art dispatch and communications center was also integrated, reinforcing security measures while modernizing the facility for enhanced inmate management and rehabilitation efforts.
